This system was created through my senior capstone project class in 2023. I was frustrated with the misrepresentation of Polish Highlander culture in the digital space. I saw motifs from Lowicz, Krakow, and other regions being used in Polish Highlander companies and organizations. I was disappointed that the beautiful handcrafted soul of our culture was not being translated into the digital age properly.

So I wanted to take this into my own hands. I have explored different digital interpretations of Podhale culture throughout my journey as a designer, and have worked on projects tackling this difficult space. Many parts of this project are unfinished or have not been developed yet - this system is intended to continue growing, and I hope to find contributors that feel as passionate about Podhale and Polish Highlander design.
